Professional Dog Whisperer

Thank you for your interest in Happy Trails SF. My name is Ava Alida and I’m a native San Franciscan who has resided in the Mission and Glen Park  my entire life. I've always had a passion for animals and grew up with many as part of my family: Winkie, Balou, Shadow, Gizmo, Mia, Tally, Daisy, Cozmo, Breezie, Smokey, Ayasha, Shasta, Millie, "The Twins" and currently Charlie & Gia (dogs) and Hazel & Stella (cats) all of whom I lovingly call my children. I had the opportunity to begin what has become my career path in early 2019 and haven’t looked back since. Working with one of San Francisco’s leading dog walking companies, I built my skill set dog walking in the Marina and Presidio. There I expanded my knowledge of what it takes to develop a harmonious team, where each dog can thrive. I got certified and soon after, in 2020, I decided to bring that vision across town, providing top notch service to Glen Park and surrounding neighborhoods. I am proud to say that I have become an exemplary walker in my service area and I look forward to offering my knowledge and expertise to you.

I'm the sole owner/operator of Happy Trails SF. This means I will be the only person with access to your home, as well as the only walker that will be spending time with your pup. I will match your dog with the pack that best suits his/her needs and characteristics, and they will remain with the same pack for every walk. The bonds the dogs form with one another become very strong and soon they operate as a team. Once I’ve established leadership and respect within the pack, through positive reinforcement techniques and consistency, I can foster a healthy dynamic.  This makes our walks an opportunity for further training and exploration. The dogs thrive in this environment and gain confidence as individuals. It boosts their self esteem and encourages social drive and positive interactions with other dogs, and in turn clients experience their pup becoming happier overall.
